XYZ Altas by Jennifer Chenoweth

Artist Jennifer Chenoweth of Fisterra Studio Projects makes contemporary art in any material that fits the idea, from drawings to large sculpture to interactive collaborative projects. Her artistic inquiry parallels the philosophic inquiry of becoming and being. She works backwards from an idea and forwards from studio process — the art manifests somewhere in the middle. She works actively in her studio and in her community to create change through inspiration and connection.

Fairy Island by Yuliya Lanina

Yuliya Lanina is a Russian-born American multimedia artist. Her paintings, animations, interactive sculptures and performances portray alternate realities that fuse fantasy, femininity, and humor.

Lanina’s work has been displayed at the Seoul Art Museum (Korea), Moscow Museum of Modern Art (Russia), Ludwig Museum (Cologne, Germany), SIGGRAPH Asia (Japan), El Museo Cultural (Santa Fe, NM), Cleveland Institute or Art (OH), 798 Beijing Biennial (China), Seoul International Media Art Biennial (Korea), and numerous national and international galleries and artfairs.

Lanina’s work has been reviewed by many publications, including Brooklyn Rail, Houston Press, Art Review, Wagmag, Bloomberg News, Austin-American Statesman, Australian Art Review, NYArts Magazine, ART on (MOMA, PS 1) and Bejing Today. Revolt Magazine chose Lanina as one of their top ten New York City artists of 2013.

Omission by Juan DeLeon

Juan is a registered Architect. He considers himself to be a new artist with a developing perspective. His current interest is in creating elements that allude to the relationship between people, scale, volume, weight, mass & space. He is drawn to the manipulation of the recognized place to transform an understood reality & create a sense of a semi-surrealistic environment. He hopes to create an experience that provokes self-awareness about place & the relationship to reality.
Omission is the deletion of open space. It is made up of 10'-0" inflatable white spheres arranged in several configurations. By using a large-scale sphere, the relationship of man & common object has been altered to man & sur-real object. The inflatable spheres are abstract & have an ephemeral presence. It manipulates the park land by consuming the openness; nothing-ness has become a «something». The visual landscape changes. The sense of place is altered and becomes abstract as the landscape is obscured and «omitted» by the large forms.
Lucid Audio Installation by Matt Winters

Teetering with metaphor, iconically depicted, and touching subjects of mass consumption, complex designography, the stupid, and the sublime. It was at this point that I basically told ya’ll to buy his work because he is dedicated and you would be happy with the investment.” –J. Haley, art writer

Food and drinks will be available for purchase and the festival grounds will showcase live music from a wide variety of local musicians coordinated and curated by Black Fret.
