Music Under the Star is a free concert series held each July in the Bullock Museum's Lone Star Plaza. The public is invited to experience free concerts under the iconic Bullock Museum Star from 6 to 9 p.m. with complimentary garage parking. Bring the whole family, camp chairs, and blankets to enjoy an incredible lineup of Texas artists. Bring non-perishable food items for the Central Texas Food Bank.
On July 21, the final Music Under the Star concert for the 2017 series features Taméca Jones, who spent years skillfully and tastefully breathing new life into the music of others. She made a name for herself as the “Queen of Austin Soul,” blowing minds with her tasteful and vibrant interpretations of a diverse list of artists that include Tina Turner, Nirvana, Elton John, Jimi Hendrix, and more.
Opening at 6 p.m. is Los Coast. Los Coast’s music is a punchy, psych-tinged, lyrical variety of rock and soul.
Museum members can enjoy access to the MUTS VIP Lounge with Café terrace seating and complimentary refreshments. Check in at the membership booth in the Museum lobby to pick up your VIP Lounge wristbands. Not a member? Join today for access to the VIP Lounge, free Museum admission, film discounts and much more.
