The Brewer’s Table continues its pop-up tour with a summer collaboration at their East Austin neighbor, Lazarus Brewing Co… The event will benefit the culinary and farm-based youth leadership non-profit, Urban Roots, with Lazarus matching all donations made during the event.
For a $10 donation at the door, guests (21+) in attendance, can enjoy a special brew designed by Head Brewer Drew Durish and Lazarus Head Brewer Matt Couch. «The Gose» was made with Lemongrass, Basil, and Himalayan Pink Sea Salt, and features Pilsner and Wheat malts, as well as ADHA 529, an experimental hop variety selected for its coconut, sweet, herbal, earthy qualities. Lazarus will also have a full line-up of their staple brews available for purchase as well.
Additionally, Executive Chef Zach Hunter will have complimentary bites on hand. Inspired by the locale and existing cuisine at Lazarus, the featured items compliment the characteristics of lemongrass and basil notes in the beer.
The complimentary bites at the event include:
Street corn, beef fat mayo, puffed barley, chile-black lime powder
Black bean falafel, fermented chile, whipped avocado
Blue corn and beer grain tortilla with short rib carnitas, mole negro
Beer chip tostada, peach, tarragon and chile
Nopales ceviche, melon aguachile, cucumber granita
Roasted pineapple, arroz con leche, coconut, brewer's yeast caramel
