Become an expert on hummingbirds! This class will introduce the fourteen hummingbird species most commonly encountered in Texas. Byron Stone, aka “Dr Birdie,” will discuss their ranges, habitat, and frequency of occurrence, and will illustrate and discuss characteristics including behavior, field marks and vocalizations that can be used to identify these birds.

This is a two-part class with sessions on July 18 and July 25, 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM. An optional class field trip to a West Texas location will be held August 11-13.
