Rescue Ranch Yoga returns in September! We are hoping it will be sub-triple digit temps by then ;)
Come out to Texas Bound Belgians and Percherons: From End of the Line to New Beginnings in Elgin for an hour of yoga under the shade trees. We will start practice at 6pm, so please arrive a little early to sign your liability waivers and say a quick hello to Pearl the porch pig! After yoga, you'll have time to meet and treat with the animals (horses, goats, chickens, pig, and more!) and learn more about their stories and the mission of the ranch.
WHAT TO BRING:
Suggested $10 cash donation for rescue efforts
Carrots if you'd like to feed the animals
Closed-toed shoes to walk around the property
Can I bring my kids?
Yes, as long as they are with an adult guardian at all times, including during the yoga portion. You must sign a separate liability waiver on behalf of each child attending.
Where is the ranch?
Only a few minutes outside of downtown Elgin! Please email [email protected]
for directions to the ranch and a liability waiver.
Can I volunteer/visit the ranch at another time?
Go to the Texas Bound Belgians and Percherons: From End of the Line to New Beginnings facebook page and send them a message for more information!
Are we practicing with the animals?
No. Unlike some internet videos you may have seen, we do not practice in the same area with the animals, for their safety and comfort and yours. It's especially important that we respect these animals' space since some of them have rough (or unknown) histories and need a little more understanding. We will be practicing in a separate pasture area, where you will be able to still see farm friends, but not be in direct contact with them during class. After yoga, you will have an opportunity to pet, socialize, and take pictures with the animals if you'd like.
