COST: $55 (pattern included!)
Learn to create beautiful bold designs for individual blocks or full quilts with the addictive yet relaxing needle turn appliqué hand stitching technique.
We'll use a mini version of Carolyn Friedlander's Ebb pattern to learn to baste different shapes, how to stitch inner and outer curves, inside points, and corners, all with an almost-invisible stitch.
Note: This is a technique class. We won't be completing a quilt, but practicing techniques on a piece that can later be made into a mini quilt or a block of a larger quilt.
This class will be taught by Niku Arbabi of xostitches.net
The course will take place on one day for three and a half hours. It is designed to accommodate 4-8 students. The only prerequisite for this course is that hand sewing experience is helpful.
Prepwork: Trace templates A,B,C, and D (page 2 of the pattern) onto template plastic or photocopy onto cardstock and cut out.
Label «fold» on the dashed line and label the letter on each template piece.
(those marked with * are available for sale at The Cloth Pocket at 10% off for those taking the course)
