Alumni Exhibition: Jenn Hassin
Title: Adapt, Mend & Repair
Dates: August 24 — September 14, 2017
Reception: August 31, 2017 (Friday), 6pm-8pm
One of the biggest problems we face today is that we do not listen to one another. This interactive installation offers one the opportunity to stitch or mend a piece of selected fabric to a larger whole; to commune with one another. This opportunity will be available throughout the duration of the exhibit. A gold thread will be used to piece the fabric creating, at once, a seam and a border that both divides and connects. The outcome of the work when the exhibit ends is to create an image of what listening looks like. Time, labor and work go into listening.
This exhibition was sponsored by the Minute Gallery, which supports current students and alumni through juried exhibition opportunitites.
