For this next tea talk, we’ve decided to take things back to the basics, with an introduction and overview of tea, great for beginners and a nice refresher course for tea lovers in any stage of their tea journey!
This Tea 101 will include a brief history of tea, an overview of what tea is and where it comes from, what defines each type of tea (green, oolong, black, white, pu-erh), health benefits, different teaware items and how to brew tea. We will taste a variety of teas from different categories, and demonstrate correct brewing methods. Information packets will be provided.
Discussion will be held on Thursday, August 17th at 6:00pm in the Zhi Tea Gallery (4607 Bolm Road, 78702).
**Due to space limitations, we kindly require that you RSVP via one of the Meetup Events, or email/call us directly at 512-539-0717 or [email protected]
The cost of this class is $10 to cover the cost of the venue and all tea served — payment can be arranged prior to or at the talk. Please try to arrive 5 minutes prior to the start time — we may not be able to accommodate late arrivals. Due to the delicate teas we will be sampling during the evening, we kindly ask all participants to refrain from wearing perfume to the Tea Talk, as strong smells mask the aroma and taste nuances of tea.
We also appreciate your input, questions or curiosities. Email us at: [email protected]
Looking forward to having tea with You,
Pause. Reflect. Connect.
