Bastrop State Park - Texas Parks and Wildlife
100 Park Road 1A, Bastrop, Texas 78602
Hearthstone invites you to sink your hands into the soil and lend your healing energy to the Earth. We’ll be helping Bastrop State Park plant 300K saplings as part of a larger project, repopulating the area with 2 million trees over the past 6 years. We’ll also go on a private tour of the park, have a ritual to thank the land, and enjoy food, drink, & each others company around the fire. Join us as we give back to the Earth Mother for ever upholding our lives.
This event is FREE.
Wildfire and Endangered Toads:
Bastrop State Park is home to a unique ecosystem of Western Loblolly Pine Trees, a vital habitat for the critically endangered Houston Toad. In 2011, a massive wildfire wiped out most of these pine trees throughout the park. This will be the 6th year working to reforest some of the most intensely burned area of the park. After this event they will have planted a total of 2 million trees to help restore this natural habitat.
