Marbin is a progressive jazz-rock band based in Chicago, IL, with a unique story that stands out in today's music world. With a do-it-yourself approach, Marbin started touring extensively in 2011, bringing their original instrumental music to every part of the United States. Through word of mouth, Marbin has gained the attention of thousands of devoted fans all over the world, and has sold tens of thousands of albums. Marbin has released six albums: Marbin (2009), Breaking the Cycle (2011), Last Chapter of Dreaming (2013), The Third Set (2014), Aggressive Hippies (2015), and Goatman and the House of the Dead (2016). Marbin regularly plays in clubs all over the US and in jam and jazz festivals around the world.
Since 2014, Bourgeois Mystics has captivated audiences with their distinct combination of funk, art rock, and hip-hop which they dub “Art Funk.” The group couples its infectious and bombastic compositions with witty tongue-in-cheek lyrics and electrifying live performances. Distinct originals and unique covers are sung in various languages including French, English, and Hindi. The band’s debut album “Eureka!” is available now.
McMeta has been a few years in the making. What started as a weekly shed to work on some concepts resulted in a growing body of original compositions. We started McMeta for fun, for musical growth, and also to maintain sanity when facing life as working cover band musicians.

About The Organizer: The Hippie House all began in a backyard in South Austin. Our belief was that art & music, when used in conjunction, are the most powerful tools that we as humans possess today. When we started, we began hosting weekly/monthly events in the South Austin community that began a cult-like following for years to come. The Hippie House was pulled out from under us by the city of Austin and we were beyond distraught. Our community, fans, fellow brothers & sisters took after us and continued to find ways for us to keep this alive. Almost two years later we have worked with over 20 different venues/galleries/lounges in the greater Austin area, have worked with over 200 different artists from all over the country including painters, crafters, musicians, tinker-ers, thinkers, dreamers, students, educators and do-ers.
The Hippie House serves as a canvas for local artists, musicians, photographers, crafters, students and educators to collaborate in commUNITY. When we create together we create a long-lasting relationship that survives on a symbiotic relationship. Our duty as the House is to spread your art, teachings, learning through a variety of different mediums.
