Austin Cave Festival
Saturday, February 10 from 10:00 am – 4:00 pm
at the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center
Learn about the animals that call Austin's caves home, see how water makes its way into the aquifer and out at Barton Springs, try on caving gear, and learn how to protect and conserve Austin’s unique cave resources.
The Austin Cave Festival is a free, family-friendly event that will feature hands-on activities, cave explorations, science and adventure presentations, live music, and more. Limited spaces are available to join biologists on guided cave tours, and you'll find lots of information about future caving opportunities in Austin too!
Austin Cave Festival is hosted by the Ladybird Johnson Wildflower Center, the Barton Springs/Edwards Aquifer Conservation District, the City of Austin (Austin Water Wildland Conservation Division, Parks and Recreation Department, Watershed Protection Department), in collaboration with Texas Cave Management Association, Texas Speleological Association, and many other organizations.
