With an angelic voice and lyrics laid bare, North Carolina native Emily Scott Robinson is pioneering her own brand of roots music: Southern Gothic folk. She enchants audiences with songs that are equal parts playful, darkly funny, heart-wrenching and redemptive.
At SXSW in 2017, Emily was featured on NPR’s “The World” for her single, “Traveling Mercies.” She also won the 2017 Wildflower Festival Performing Songwriter Contest. In 2016, Emily was a Grassy Hill New Folk winner at Kerrville Folk Festival and also received an Honorable Mention in the 2016 Telluride Troubadour Contest.
Emily released her debut album, Magnolia Queen, in February 2016 and the EP Live in Birmingham in 2017. Her first full-length studio album, Traveling Mercies, is set to release September 2018.
