As David and Katie Pitre celebrate 25 years of growing organic produce just east of Austin with a semi-sabbatical this year, there is time for reveling in the beauty of springtime in Texas with a dinner on the farm. What says celebration better than a roast suckling pig! Joining products and talents with Belle Vie Farm and Kitchen's Aubrey and Perrine Noelke, bright young stars on the Austin market, this dinner will combine Belle Vie's delicious duck, pastured pork, and French cooking skills with the organic vegetables, hospitality, and live oak-shaded dining lawn of Tecolote Farm. Enjoy this collaboration between an old and a new farm, and share a glass of Bordeaux and fresh air en plein air!

FEATURED CHEF: Perrine Renault Noelke, chef and boss lady at Belle Vie Farm and Kitchen, was born in Montpellier and raised all over France, learning to appreciate food by watching her grandfathers raise food and grandmothers cook it. Family dinners around a table groaning with good food surrounded by happy people talking and drinking good wine make up a large part of what she understands to be the Belle Vie — beautiful life. Later she worked in gourmet restaurants in France and Belgium and learned firsthand how high quality cuisine, attentive service and artful presentation come together to make food taste divine. She now works in her own commercial kitchen making beautiful and delicious delicacies out of the food she helps raise. She has a passion for bringing creativity and new ingredients to traditional French cooking, as well as a love for a cheese platter and good Bordeaux wine at the end of a long day.
