Celebrate Independence Day from the water! Be dazzled by the fireworks display over Lady Bird Lake from the best seat in the house – your boat! Late night rentals of kayaks, canoes, and stand up paddle boards are by reservation with prepayment only.
Rowing Dock will close for regular rentals at 7:00pm and will re-open at 7:45pm for this event. Music at Auditorium Shores starts at 8:30pm and fireworks begin at 9:30pm. We have a limited number of boats, so make your reservations today.
Single Kayak: Perfect for one adult or capable child (age 13+ required with a parent or legal guardian on the water).
Double Kayak: Fits 2 adults, or 1 adult and one capable child.
Canoe: Fits 3 adults comfortably, or 2 adults and 2 very small children (recommended under age 6 and under 60 lbs*).
Stand Up Paddle Board (SUP): Good for one adult only. (age 18+ required, and recommended for experienced paddlers only).
*Please note: NO INFANTS & NO DOGS will be allowed on the water for night paddling.
Event Check-In: 7:15pm-8:30pm
Please print your tickets and bring them with you to the event. Very limited parking in our parking lot will be available on a first come first served basis, only for event ticket holders. Additional parking will also be available along Stratford Drive. Event check-in will begin at 7:15 pm. Please see the «What to Bring» list to ensure you have everything required for the check-in process. All customers MUST check in by 8:30 pm and be on the water by 8:45 pm. Boats that were reserved but not checked in by 8:30 pm will be released to customers on the wait list. Refunds will not be issued for customers who do not arrive before the check-in process ends.
What to Bring:
Each group going out on the water will need a designated responsible adult. This adult needs to bring the following items:
Valid Driver's Licence or State Issued ID
Matching Debit or Credit Card (We do not accept American Express)
Everyone in the group will be required to fill out a Rowing Dock waiver. Children under 18 must have their parents sign their waiver. You can print the waivers here and have them filled out ahead of time to expedite your check-in process or fill them out when you arrive at the dock.
What time is the event over?
The fireworks show ends at 10:00 pm and all boats are expected to head back to the dock at that time. All boats MUST be back at the dock by 10:45 pm. Significant late fees will accrue for boats not back on time.
Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?
Yes. For safety reasons, we do not allow infants on our night paddles. We require at least one adult (18 or older) to be designated as the responsible party and all children under 18 must have their parent or legal guardian sign a waiver for them. All children under the age of 18 must have a parent on the water with them.
What can/can't I bring to the event?
We recommend that you bring your own drinks and snacks, but we do sell water and Gatorade at the dock. If you do bring drinks and snacks please make sure you have a way to contain your trash and note there is NO GLASS allowed anywhere in the park or on the water.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
Yes. Your ticket is required for your admission.
What is the refund policy?
If the city cancels the event for any reason a full refund will be processed for all customers.
Is my registration/ticket transferrable?
Yes. Registration transfers must be completed 48 hours before the event begins.
